About
Dr. Rubio graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
He is licensed by the Medical Board of California and holds an ABIM certification in Internal Medicine.
His personal, compassionate, and thorough approach to medical care has helped him become familiar with the unique needs of the Santa Barbara community. Dr. Rubio has an interest in educating patients and preventing disease, as well as treating patients with chronic medical conditions.
He grew up in California in a Spanish speaking household and looks forward to offering the highest quality of care to our Spanish speaking community members in their native language.

Setting A Telemedicine Appointment
As part of our efforts to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, we are now offering telemedicine appointments to our patients. Social distancing and quarantines should not mean a lack of quality care. Telemedicine appointments allow you to set up consultations over the internet, much like a Skype call would work when calling a friend. All you need is a computer and a webcam with a working microphone. Most laptops come video-call ready out of the box.
If you feel you are displaying any flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), or otherwise need remote medical care:
